Bertrand is a practitioner of Classical Chinese Medicine and is committed to ongoing training with several masters and recognized traditions. His therapeutic approach is based on a deep understanding of the body's systems, integrating herbalism, tuina massage, and teachings from various ancestral healing lineages.
Alongside his clinical practice, he teaches yoga and practices gongfu, cultivating a vibrant relationship with movement, breath, and energy. Inspired by nature, craftsmanship, art, and music, as well as by mentors who instilled in him the importance of remaining connected to all living things, Bertrand accompanies each person with presence, sensitivity, and respect for their individual pace.
Bertrand focuses his practice on Vince Black's Tuina, a manual therapy technique that works on the meridians and incorporates craniosacral therapy. He also uses acupuncture according to Jeffrey Yuen's classical approach, as well as herbal medicine, whether Chinese, Japanese (Kampo), or Western. His approach includes the somatic aspects of internal martial arts, nervous system regulation, deep relaxation, and reconnecting with bodily sensations. He considers his treatments a craft, made up of repeated movements but always adapted to the unique needs of each individual.
His approach begins by creating a safe and open space where speaking and active listening are essential. He asks insightful questions to explore the patient's lived experience, then brings the content of these exchanges back to the bodily experience through therapeutic touch and breathwork. Bertrand adapts each session to the specific needs of his clients, seeking a balance between allowing more verbal individuals to express themselves and guiding those who are more reserved. He aims to spark awareness while valuing the simplicity of returning to sensations. For him, optimal health means being attuned to the body's feelings and feeling at peace with these messages.
