She has completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training (including Hatha, Vinyasa, Gentle, Yin, Restorative, Power, Yoga Nidra, meditation, and pranayama). She has also completed a 50-hour specialized training in meditation and Yoga Nidra, as well as an advanced 100-hour training focused on Ayurveda and the five elements. Additionally, she is trained in Thai massage, which she uses as a conscious adjustment technique and to read the body during practice. Oumaima continues her learning through personal practice, ongoing education, and attentive observation of her students.
Oumaima has been teaching yoga since 2022, driven by a desire to share what became a true refuge for her during challenging times. Practicing on the mat allowed her to quiet her mind, find clarity, and be fully present without trying to fix anything. As a teacher, her intention is to offer students a space where they can settle, accept themselves, and experience transformation, no matter what they are going through. She places great importance on self-acceptance, acceptance of others, and embracing life’s experiences without attachment. Outside of yoga, Oumaima is inspired by dance, travel, nature, and the simple pleasures of daily life, all of which enrich her teaching.
Oumaima’s approach is caring, flexible, and centered on listening to the body. She encourages each student to take responsibility for their own practice, to recognize when to challenge themselves and when to slow down. She values taking time, allowing space for sensations and breath, teaching with simplicity, and using silence when appropriate. Her classes focus less on rigidity and more on fluidity, viewing practice as a moving meditation or intuitive dance. She always offers variations so that everyone can adapt the practice to their level and energy. For Oumaima, less is more.
